Abstract

Art learning can cultivate students' creativity and imagination. It can make an individual wholistic or a well-developed person. However, the problem shows that higher vocational colleges pay more attention to vocational skills and ignore the importance of art education for students. Thus, this paper analyses the employment situation of art troupe students in higher vocational Colleges in China for a better understanding of art learning on what can it do for students. Descriptive research was employed in this study. Questionnaire survey interviews and the literature search method are among the technique used by the researcher. Study shows that the employment rate and quality of the art group students are relatively high compared with the non-art group students. However, the art group in education lacks support from schools, and the practical ability of students is low. The school needs to cultivate a talented and versatile talent for society by integrating vocational education and art education into the curriculum to improve the employment competitiveness and employment rate of students in higher vocational colleges in China. This paper puts forward the possible ways of higher vocational colleges to adapt the training standards of social employment, strengthen the training measures of art education and the combination of art curriculum teaching and professionalization, and find out through various studies on society, schools, courses, and students that will help their students.
