Abstract
1. The main channel of diffusion of K and Na admixture atoms onto the surface of single crystals of tungsten at temperatures below 2000°K is dislocations. 2. The emission activation energy of potassium and sodium ions emitted as a result of dislocation diffusion is 25 kcal/g-atom and 50 kcal/g-atom respectively. 3. The values of the activation energy of emission of K+ ions from tungsten connected with boundary diffusion are 2.5 to 3 times the values corresponding to diffusion along dislocations. 4. The results of the studies demonstrate uniform distribution of admixtures of alkali metals in single crystals of tungsten. 5. The use of single crystal detectors makes it possible to anneal them effectively, considerably reduces their own noises and improves the metrological characteristics of atomic radiation measures of frequency.
