Abstract

Since the 1950s, equality between men and women has been widely accepted as a socially and economically important aspect. Addressing gender equality is one of the challenges of the 21st century. This is a fundamental right of men and women, a question of justice. Based on the strategy of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Slovak Republic, the main goal of gender equality in Slovakia is to create equal opportunities for every woman and every man in a given society, so that they can realize their full potential. The main goal of the paper is to analyze the current situation in industrial enterprises in Slovakia in terms of gender equality. The results of the research will represent the current state of gender equality in industrial enterprises concerning the opportunities and opportunities offered to men and women. The research will be carried out through an online questionnaire survey, which will address to 56 industrial enterprises in Slovakia. To ensure the validity of the obtained data, the addressed respondents will hold positions in middle / top management. The results of the research identify bottlenecks in gender equality and provide an opportunity for enterprises to eliminate them.
