Abstract
There is a plethora of textbooks on electrocardiography in children. This fact, plus the admonition of the author that this book is “meant to be read cover to cover,” would ordinarily make a reviewer plunge into his job with something less than wild enthusiasm. Nonetheless, the knowledge that Garson during the past several years has established an enviable reputation as a very scholarly and productive pediatric electrophysiologist made me eager to see whether he had succeeded in adding something to an already overcrowded field. The answer is a definite “yes,” and although I remain unconvinced that any textbook of electrocardiography is “meant to be read cover to cover” (instructions I would prefer to reserve for novels and biographies), this is a book that I know I will use often in years ahead.
