Abstract

The electrical properties of Mn 3O 4 in equilibrium with the ambient oxygen atmosphere were found to be different from those reported previously on quenched specimens. The differences appear to arise from the presence of a second phase in the quenched specimens. The present results suggest a band-to-band excitation rather than hopping conduction.
