Abstract

Experimental measurements of the elastic differential cross-sections for the scattering of 19 MeV and 19.5 MeV deuterons from krypton and xenon have been made using a nuclear emulsion plate camera. The results are compared with calculations using the optical model of the nucleus. The values of the parameters giving the best fit to the experimental results and the sensitivities of the calculated reaction cross-sections to these parameters are discussed.
