Abstract
The aim of present research was to examine the efficacy of mindfulness training on cognitive emotion regulation in football players. This study deign was experimental with pre-test, posttest control group. 40 subjects completed the study sample was randomly selected football players in Ardabil in the experimental group (mindfulness training) and were assigned to the control. The instruments were used in this study consist of mindfulness inventory, Cognitive emotion regulation and thoughts anxious Inventory. The results showed mindfulness training in the treatment group compared with the control group of football players was effective in improving mindfulness, cognitive emotion regulation, and anxious thoughts. Based on the research findings, these results illustrate that mindfulness training is an important factor for cognitive emotion regulation.
