Abstract
Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) shares common risk factors with coronary artery disease. Presence of renal impairment might affect the clinical outcomes of PAD patients, possibly due to vascular calcification. Treating calcified peripheral vessels is difficult and rate of re-narrowing and the need for re-intervention is generally higher compared to normal renal function patients.
