Abstract

Objectives: The current study aimed to verify the effectiveness of using semiotic strategy in developing the Personal Values For Eleventh Grade Female Students In Islamic Education and their Attitudes towards strategy.
 Methods: The study sample consisted of (75) female students in the first year of high school in the Islamic education subject at Dar Al-Salaam School affiliated with the Directorate of Education of Major General Marka in the capital, Amman. The study used two types of tools: the personal values scale, and the attitudes towards the semiotic strategy scale, after verifying the validity and reliability of the tools, the appropriate statistical analysis was conducted for the two study questions. 
 Results: It was found that there is a difference between the average scores of the experimental group students who studied using the semiotic strategy and the average scores of the control group students who were taught by the regular method in developing personal values in favor of the experimental group Also, there is a statistically significant difference between the pre and post applications of the measure of attitudes towards the semiotic strategy in favor of the post application, which means the semiotic strategy is effective in developing the personal values for high school students in Jordan.
 Conclusions: The study recommended the need to train Islamic education teachers on using modern strategies, including the semiotic strategy.
