Abstract

Objectives To evaluate the therapeutic effect of intravesical instillation of pirarubicin (THP) in the cystitis glandulariS after transurethral thulium laser resection of the bladder lesions. Methods of 81 cases of pathological proven cystitis glandularis ,41 cases were managed by intravesicai instillation of pirarubicin after transurethral electroresection of bladder lesions (group A) ,and the remaining 40 cases were managed by intravesical instillation of pirarubicin transurethral thulium laser resection of the bladder lesions (group B) . The recurrent rate and side effects between two gronps were compared. Results After follow - up for 36 months(6-54months) , there were 13 cases and 11 cases of recurrence in group A and group B respectively. There was no significant difference in the recurrent rate between two gronps (p > 0.05). Conclusions Intravesical instillation of pirarubicin after transurethral thulium laser resection of the bladder lesions can decrease the rerurrence of cystitis glandularis , and the incidence of side effects was lower. Management of transurethral thulium laser resection of the bladder lesions had good effect in short term ,with small trauma and complications. Key words: Cycstitis ; Lasers ; Thulium ; Epirubicin ;
