Abstract

The implementation of natural science learning in the fifth grade of SDN Godong Jombang still uses teacher-centered approaches such as lecture and debriefing methods. It causes students to become passive, bored, and uninterested in following natural science learning. Besides, the lecture and debriefing methods make students have difficulty to comprehend the natural science material. Thus, it requires innovation to perform the natural science learning in the class, such as course review horay learning method. This research aims to discover the effect of the course review horay learning method on the student’s learning outcomes on the natural science learning in the fifth grade of SDN Godong Jombang. The research method is quantitative with a pre-experimental design in the form of one group pretest posttest design. The data collection technique in this research is tests. The data analysis techniques in this research are validity, normality, and hypothesis tests. The research results showed that the mean of the pretest score is 62,50, meanwhile the mean of posttest score is 86,43. Based on the hypothesis test and pretest posttest results analyzed using paired sample t test through SPSS 20 application, the significant result is 0,000 < 0,05 and tcalculate > ttable (11.337 > 1,703), so that Ha is accepted, and H0 is rejected. It showed a significance effect of using course review horay learning model on the student’s learning outcomes on the natural science learning in the fifth grade of SDN Godong Jombang.
