Abstract

When we consider the top 10 countries of the world by means of their economic sizes, it is obvious that these top-achievers are also the ones getting the greatest shares from global trade. However, Turkey is at 17th rank prior to her economic size, while she is at 26th rank in terms of foreign trade. In order to realise her goal of being within the first 10 countries by means of economic size, Turkey's share from the global trade has to be increased. The main motivation for this study is to reveal the effect of Turkey's logistic performance over foreign trade. So the data of 2007-2016 belonging to 24 countries, having the top shares in Turkey's foreign trade, were used. The results of seven regression analysis show that all logistic performance indicators have a positive effect on Turkey's foreign trade except for service quality.
