The effect of thermal boundary conditions and density stratification on the appearance of convection in the atmospheres of planets and stellar envelopes

Abstract

In the present article a study is made of the effect of density stratification and thermal boundary conditions which are a consequence of the parametrization of the small-scale turbulent convection in the spherical layers of a compressible gas on the emergence of large-scale convection.
