Abstract
Graduates who pursue careers aligned with their intentions contribute effectively to economic growth. Clear career intentions enable career services and placement offices to assist students in finding suitable employment opportunities. This proactive approach enhances students' chances of securing jobs that match their skills and interests. This study aims to identify the effect of the nature of work, social status, and pay and benefits on the student’s career intentions, by carrying out a case study of Kolej Komuniti. Employing a quantitative method was gathered through surveys from a sample of students. The returned response from 156 respondents was analysed using the descriptive analysis and the effect between the variables in the hypothesis was tested by the regression analysis. The findings indicate that perceptions of the nature of work, social status, and financial rewards significantly shape students' career aspirations and intentions. These findings underscore the importance of these factors in shaping educational and career pathways among Kolej Komuniti students. Implications for career counseling and educational policy are discussed, emphasising the need for targeted interventions to enhance students' career readiness and aspirations in vocational education settings.
