Abstract
Summary Regular delays up to 20 minutes from the beginning of washing cows’ udders until the attachment of milking machines apparently did not decrease milk production under the conditions of these trials. Routine fast milking procedures, however, should emphasize the importance of attaching machines 1 to 2 minutes after washing because of labor efficiency and production of clean milk. Data are presented which emphasize the importance of using entire udders in drawing conclusions in work of this type.
