Abstract

The study carried out to investigate the effect of some medical plants extract on some blood physiological and biochemical parameters in broiler. One week age broiler chicken were divided into 6 groups (30 birds each),all groups was orally treated with( 1 ml/ Kg), the control group were orally treated with 1 ml of distal water. The 1 st group was orally treated of Peganum harmala extract with concentration 25 mg /ml‚ the 2nd group were orally treated of Datura innoxia extract with concentration 25mg /ml. the 3rd group were orally treated of Salicornia europaea with concentration 25mg /ml , the 4th group were orally treated of Cyperus rotundus extract with concentration 25mg /ml, the 5th group were orally treated of Matricaria chamomilia extract with concentration 25mg /ml The treatment continues for fourteen nine days period. The results showed a significant increase in serum total protein, globulin concentration in 1 st , 2nd, and 3rd groups compared with control, while all groups not a significant changes in serum albumin concentration . This was accompanied by a significant decrease in serum glucose , total cholesterol concentration in1 st, 2nd and 3rd groups and significant decrease in serum Triglycerides , VLDL-C concentration in1 st , 3rd , 4th , and 5th groups compared with control, while the treatments 2nd , 3rd , 4th , and 5th groups caused a significant increase in serum HDL-C concentration compared with control. While treatments in1 st, 2nd , and 5th groups showed a significant decrease in the serum LDL-C concentration The study concluded that‚ the extracts of this medical plants enhanced some physiological and biochemical parameters
