Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of single balloon catheter on labor and neonatal outcomes of term pregnancy maternal. Methods A total of 104 full-term pregnancy pregnant women, who were induced labor in our hospital from January 2015 to December 2015, were selected as research objects, all of them were divided into control group and observation group, 52 cases of each group.Control group received induction of labor with intravenous infusion of oxytocin, and observation group was induction of labor with single balloon catheter. The effect of stimulating cervical maturity, Bishop score of cervical before and after induction of labor, stage of labor and neonate outcomes were compared between the two groups. Results The effective rate of cervical maturity was significantly higher in the observation group (98.1%)than in the control group(75.0%). The difference was statistically significant(P 0.05). Conclusions The implementation of single balloon catheter on full-term pregnancy pregnant women in cervical ripening is significantly effective, it can significantly reduce the stage of labor of full-term pregnancy pregnant women, and improve pregnancy outcomes.
