Abstract

The influence of pressure on the behaviour of different particles fluidized by nitrogen was experimentally investigated. The powders used were mostly in Geldart's group B and the pressure was varied in the range 100 to 3500 kPa. The results for bed voidage and gas velocity at both the minimum fluidization and minimum bubbling conditions are compared with results of other authors and are discussed in the light of available correlations.
