Abstract
Vapour pressures of n -pentane over its liquid solutions with 4-( trans -4′- n -butylcyclohexyl) benzene isothiocyanate were determined by the static method at temperatures in the range 285 K to 320 K. Activity coefficients of n -pentane are calcuated for the stable isotropic liquid mixtures and the monotropic nematic phase. The solubility curve of the “4CHBT” is also determined.
