Abstract
Intravenous injection of crude papain into young rabbits causes a collapse of the ear. In our work, ear cartilage from young animals was examined by light and electron microscopy prior to, 20 hours after, and one week after injection. Evaporation studies and analyses for mucopolysaccharides (MPS) of the adbominal skin were also performed.
