Abstract

In this paper, we analyze a stochastic model for the dynamics of CD4+ T cells in immunodeficienvy virus (HIV) transmission. The model includes antiretroviral therapy (ART), combining the reverse transcriptase inhibitors (RTIS) and the protease inhibitors (PI), and drug resistance. The stochastic terms are placed in the mortality rates of the CD4+ T cells and of the virus particles. The model is simulated for different values of the noise intensity. We observe that as the noise intensity is reduced, the model approaches the patterns of the deterministic model.
