Abstract
How intelligent technology affects teaching in a smart classroom is the focus in the intelligence education era. However, there is no unified understanding of whether intelligent technology can promote the effect of smart classroom teaching in China. In this regard, the meta-analysis method was adopted in this study to analyze 37 experimental and quasi-experimental studies on the impact of intelligent technology since the beginning of China’s smart education. The results show that: (1) Intelligent technology can significantly improve the teaching effect of smart classrooms in China, and there is a significant difference in the effect between cognitive and non-cognitive aspects; (2) The effect of intelligent technology on improving teaching effect has the significant difference in subjects but no difference in learning phase; (3) It takes a certain amount of time for intelligent technology to fully play its role, and different intelligent technology varies. 2-8 weeks may achieve the best effect. For the type of technology, mixed reality technology, intelligent technology ecology and smart platform have a great promoting effect. These findings help to unify the understanding of intelligent technology, which could improve the quality of teaching. And enlightenment could be raised out for innovating smart classroom construction.
