Abstract

Objectives: Data is accumulating supporting a role for the microenvironment in cancer progression and metastasis. The microenvironment plays a critical role in cycling benign endometrium. Despite common clinical use of progestin therapy as fertility sparing option in endometrial cancer, there are few studies that examine the role of hormones on the stromal cells of these patients. The purpose of this study was to compare the effects of hormonal stimulation in endometrial cancer-associated stromal cells and benign stromal cells.
