Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of health education and psychological interventions on the elderly orthopedic patients in perioperative period. Methods A total of 66 elderly orthopedic patients were selected and divided into the control group(33 cases) and observation group(33 cases). The control group received the routine nursing, the observation group received the health education and psychological interventions on the basis of above nursing. The scores of the HAMDand HAMA at the time of seeing the doctor, before operation 1 day, after operation 3 days were compared in the two groups, also PSQI index and satisfaction of the clinical nursing were compared between two groups. Results There were statistical significant differences(P<0.05) in the HAMD score, HAMA score, PSQI index and satisfaction of the clinical nursing, the observation group was better than the control group. Conclusions During the perioperative nursing process of elderly orthopedic patients, we should strengthen the health education and psychological intervention, it could relieve the patient's negative emotions, improve the sleep quality and the satisfaction rate of clinical nursing.
