Abstract
Gradient compression garments (Skins™) are frequently used after sport and exercise to reduce the effects of post-exercise muscle soreness. This study sought to determine the effects of Skins on perceived post-competition recovery. Twenty-four AFL players from a competitive elite team completed serial VAS scores (0–10) for perception of pain, power and alertness at intervals of ranging from 15min to 48h following a single game. Players were required to wear Skins for intervals ranging from 15min to 8h.
