Abstract

The Ag- and Pt-doped SnO 2 ultrafine particle films are prepared by magnetron sputtering equipment. The transmissivity of the films are measured in alcohol gas. The results indicate that the transmissivity of the doped films reduces with increasing gas concentration. In contrast to Ag-doped films, the Pt-doped films show better optical gas-sensing property in a given range of gas concentration.
