Abstract
The mass and volume dependence of the Mori coefficients and of the self-diffusion coefficient has been studied in a two- dimensional system for a Brownian particle in a ( T, p, N) ensemble. The 2D Mori coefficients are affected differently from the 3D results. The 2D self-diffusion coefficient is mass independent as it is also in 1D and 3D when the Brownian particle has the same volume as the solvent particle, but if the volume is changed, the weak mass dependence found in 3D is not present in 2D.
