Abstract

The effect of sodium salts of dicarboxylic acids on the anodic dissolution of cobalt in solutions of perchlorates is considered. Acceleration of the dissolution is observed only if the pH of such a solution falls into the domain of the formation and existence of soluble complexes of Co(II) with the corresponding acid. The mechanism of the anodic dissolution of cobalt in the presence of dicarboxylates is suggested.
