Abstract

The aim of the study was to identify the effect of quality critical success factors on Jordan university hospitals for supporting the application of total quality management (TQM) in light of Sheffield University Model, and the level of applying TQM in Jordan university hospitals. The study also aimed to find out whether there were statistically significant differences in the responses of the participants in the level of critical success factors of quality in supporting the application of TQM at Jordan university hospitals. The study population was composed of all employees of university hospitals employees (1340) employee of university hospitals, and a random stratified method was used to select 302 participants. Statistical analysis procedures were used to analyze the data. The study results revealed that there was a strong positive effect of quality critical success factors on supporting the application of TQM in university hospitals. In the light of these results, the study proposed a number of recommendations.
