Abstract
(Abstracted from Female Pelvic Med Reconstr Surg 2020;26:61–66) Previous research has demonstrated that postpartum pelvic floor exercises can lead to an increase in strength of the pelvic floor muscles (PFMs) and a reduction in pelvic floor disorders. However, as many as 23% of patients perform these exercises incorrectly, which may be due to barriers from patient awareness, education, disagreement about techniques, and compliance.
