Abstract

Objective To investigate the implementation effect of group health education mode in the obstetrics department.Methods A teaching team was set up by 15 obstetrics nurses and some families of pregnant women were as a group,the training of knowledge and skills of maternal - child nursing were taught through the combination method of classroom teaching,demonstration of operations and bedside guidance.110 participants were randomly selected to evaluate their familiarity of the knowledge and skill of maternalchild nursing before and after the training.Results A significant difference was detected in the knowledge of newborn feeding,nursing and puerperium before and after the training (P < 0.05).The maternal and child nursing skill three days after birth was significantly improved than before (P < 0.05).Conclusions The group health education mode can not only help pregnant women and families receive knowledge and skills of maternal - child nursing,but also establish healthy behavior and promote maternal and child health.
