Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of drugs and surgery on treating ocular melted iron burning at early stage.Methods There were 32 cases (32 eyes) in the study,in which 30 eyes Ⅲdegree burn,2 eyes got Ⅳ degree burns.Oral prednisone,subconjunctival injection of heparin and fresh amniotic membrane transplantation were applied in the treatment.Results There were 16 corneas restored transparency.Ten eyes resulted in corneal nebula,5 eyes corneal macula,one eye corneal leukoma.There were 26 eyes (81.5 ％ ) got rid of blindness.Conclusion Treatment of medicine and surgery at early stage had good result for severe ocular melted iron burn.
