Abstract

Both inductive and capacitive wireless power transfer can be used for the charging of electric vehicles theoretically. In this paper, the mutual-capacitance coupling model of capacitive power transfer is proposed by analogy with the mutual-inductance coupling model of inductive power transfer. In single input single output (SISO), multiple input single output (MISO), and single input multiple output (SIMO) wireless power transfer systems, it shows that inductive power transfer and capacitive power transfer have duality in circuit topology and circuit equation.
