Abstract

A dual resonance model with Regge cuts is proposed and its phenomenological consequences are discussed. It may give an enough theoretical framework for both high and low energy phenomenologies. It is shown that the total cross-section can be determined from low energy parameters, if one assumes the existence of a diffractive term and interprets the Regge cut as a consequence of the absorption.
