Abstract

The dual resonance model with Regge cut is applied to nN scattering. It is shown that the factorization condition relates the relative magnitude of the p pole and its associated Regge cut contribution of the spin flip amplitude to the relative magnitude of the non-flip amplitude. The model can give a non-zero polarization of· n-:p~n°n at aP (t) =0. §I. Introduction In a previous paper 1 ) we proposed a dual resonance model with Regge cuts. The scattering amplitude in the model consists of two parts: one is· given by the usual Veneziano amplitude and the other is the one having the Regge cut dual to resonances in asymptotic energy regions. The interesting feature of the model is that both Regge poles and Regge cuts interplay each other on the same footing. 1 )
