Abstract
Donald E. Morse, Professor of English at Oakland University, became interested in Hungarian drama as Fulbright Lecturer (1987-89), and Soros Visiting Professor (1990) at Lajos Kossuth University, Hungary. With the Hungarian scholar, Csilla Bertha he is translating several contemporary dramas. His recent publications include articles on Beckett, Joyce, postmodernism, and American drama, and books on the fantastic in the arts.
