Abstract

On the basis of linear response theory, the exact expression for the linearized distribution function for a system of charged particles in a weakly inhomogeneous electric field of arbitrary frequency is obtained. The consistent deduction of Kubo's relation for conductivity in terms of response to the total field in the medium is presented. The generalized expression for the effective frequency of collisions dependent on the momentum of the scattering electron and the frequency of the external field is obtained on the basis of the analogy with the method of the kinetic equation. The final expression for frequency dispersion of the conductivity of the fully ionized plasma with account of both the dynamical screening of the Coulomb interaction and strong ion-ion interaction is obtained within the framework of perturbation theory with respect to the electron-electron and electron-ion interaction. The expression is valid in the case of arbitrarily degenerating electrons, too.
