Abstract

In electromagnetic (EM) simulations, conventional triangular patches are implemented to discretize the surfaces of conducting objects. The EM scattering of the conducting objects is presented based on the Rao-Wilton-Glisson basis function and continuity of the surface current across the boundary with different mesh sizes. The radar cross section (RCS) is acquired for conducting objects using physical optics (PO). The numerical results are compared with those from a commercial software (FEKO), which indicated the accuracy and effectiveness of the method in this study.
