Abstract

A numerical simulation of ac susceptibility (ACS) was made based on the collective creep model. It is observed that two dips in the real and imaginary parts of ACS appear at the temperature (T d) where a peak of critical current density (J c) occurs. It is found that T d is independent from ac field frequency (f). It is shown that the dips are caused by a bulk J c peak and can be used to identify the pinning mechanism.
