Abstract
Time-lapsed cinematographic analysis revealed that the frequency of bile canalicular contractions in primary cultured hepatocytes was higher in a tauroursodeoxycholic acid (TUDCA)-treated group, as compared to those in control and taurinetreated groups. By transmission electron microscopy, the contractions of contractile grades of bile canaliculi (BC) were found to be enhanced by TUDCA treatment but were not changed much by taurine treatment.
