Abstract
A fiber-optics-based diagnostics to study the spatial-angular scattering of radiation by plasma in the spectral range of 400–1900 nm is presented. Introducing light filters into the image registration system enables to choose the entire spectral range or a selected one. The proposed method allows to carry out studies simultaneously in different planes, which gives information about the scattering process isotropy. This method can be used to record on digital camera matrix the energy evenly distributed over the area of the fiber input end face, starting from values of 10−12 J at a wavelength of 0.532 µm, 10−11 J - at 0.632 µm, and 10−7 J - at 1.064 µm. Experiments carried out with the interaction of Nd:glass laser radiation with a solid copper target have shown that the scattering process is not isotropic, and the scatterplots in experiments with the fundamental frequency of laser radiation and its second harmonic differ.
