Abstract

Objective To summarize the experience of the diagnosis and treatment of intragpinal enterogenous cyst. Methods The clinical manifestations.MRI characteristics and surgical results of 11 cases of intragpinal enterogenous cysts were analyzed. Results The main symptoms were radical pain and spine cord compression.MRI could clearly demonstrate the exact extension of the cyst and the surrounding structures. These cysts showed as slishtly long T1 and long T2 homogeneous signal on MRI.Their neurological functions were improved steadily after complete resection in 4 cages.subtotal resection in 7 cases.Condusions Intraspinal enterngenous cyst is a rare congenital lesion.often associated with vertebral anomalies and occurred at subdural cervical-thoracic location, anterior to spinal cord.MRI is an effective and convenient method for intraspinal enterogenous cyst image investigation.Total or subtotal resection of cyst with subsequent recovery in neurological function is usually possihie.
