Abstract

Ultra-supercritical coal-fired power plants are the main force of power generation in China at present and near future. High-temperature heating surface of ultra-supercritical boiler always works at extremely severe operating condition, so over-temperature and explosive tube accidents often happen. In order to fulfill the operating safe and secure requirements of utility boilers, a set of on-line monitoring system of the ultra-supercritical boiler heating surface's wall temperature is developed, based on the thermal performance calculation and combined with the on-site real-time data. In this paper, wall temperature calculation method of ultra-supercritical boiler heating surface is described. The calculating results fit well with the designed thermal performance parameters. Also, the function and interface of on-line monitoring system of ultra-supercritical boiler heating surface's wall temperature is described. The real-time monitoring of the wall temperature at heating surface provides effective operational guidance for operators and useful information of wall temperature at heating surface for maintenance personnel, which makes sure that the operation of ultra-supercritical boiler keeps more economic and safer.
