Abstract
The aim of this paper is to find out and analyze the features and development prospects of the Ukrainian folk choral art, their amateur and professional essence, and define their value and basic functions in Ukrainian society.Research methodology. A large number of scientific, theoretical materials have been analyzed. Five main research papers (dissertation paper, scientific articles) are processed with the help of a thorough analysis.Results. The role of the essence and value of the folk choral performance in Ukraine has been proved. The influence of the choral art on the society in Ukraine is indicated. The current research revealing the problems of choral performing art is analyzed. The ways of solving these problems are described. The authors have developed their own recommendations for improving the development of folk choral performance in Ukraine.Novelty. The paper presents an attempt to carry out the complex analysis of the folk choral singing in the period of modern development.The practical significance. The material in this article can be of interest to the students of higher educational establishments in the field of folk choral art. Recommendations are given to the study in the educational program of folk choral art and practical work with amateur and professional folk choral collectives.
