Abstract

The kinetic experiments of Fischer–Tropsch synthesis (FTS) using Co-Ru/γ-Al2O3 nano-structure catalyst were carried out in a fixed bed reactor in a wide range of operating conditions (i.e., 200–240°C, 10–30bar, H2/CO ratio of 1–3 and space velocity of 1300–27001/h). The re-adsorption and secondary reactions of olefins on the secondary sites were taken into account in suggested pseudo-homogenous steady-state comprehensive kinetic modeling. The correlation and statistical tests indicated that the estimated parameters and the present comprehensive kinetic model are significant and reasonable. The results showed that a new comprehensive kinetic model developed in terms of fugacity instead of pressure could generate a more proper fitting with experimental data.
