Abstract

The upbringing of a moral personality has always been relevant and has been an important task of domestic education. The development of the moral potential of students can be achieved by creating an educational environment that provides special psychological and pedagogical conditions that allow students to form stable views on life and man, a system of beliefs that are focused on understanding moral norms and striving to fulfill them. The current situation in education is characterised by the persistent introduction of digitalisation and artificial intelligence, which significantly changes and destroys traditional approaches to the education of a moral personality, complicating the process of formation of personal and civic identity and its substructure – the moral Self. The traditional educational environment in modern conditions is significantly supplemented by remote online communication, which has its own characteristics. The article examines the negative consequences of deep inclusion of the modern digtal space in the life and education of children and youth and raises the question of requirements for the educational environment in the new digital reality to ensure the development of the moral potential of students.
