Abstract

Public education workers - like the entire Soviet people - enthusiastically and unanimously greeted the decisions of the December (1974) Plenum of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU); the political conclusions and practical tasks included in the speech by L. I. Brezhnev, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the CPSU, at the Plenum; the documents from the session of the USSR Supreme Soviet; and the appeal of the Central Committee of the CPSU to the Party and the Soviet people. They see in these documents new evidence of the continuous concern of the Party and the government for the development of public education throughout the country.
