Abstract

Long-term assessment of the grid-connected PV power generators such as rooftop residential systems or large-scale commercial systems requires the consideration of different factors such as intermittent radiation, system orientation, shading, and weather conditions. In general the assessment of these systems is carried out by using different types of performance indicators which assess and benchmark the power generator performance against the PV panel’s maximum output at hypothetical operation conditions.
