Abstract

This article proposes a composition and production technology for a new heat-resistant concrete with improved refractory properties to be implemented as a lining material for the roofs of furnaces used in the melting of steel. An automated lining process for the concrete is described and the implications for resource as well as economic savings are analyzed.
