Abstract
With the aim to design a particular broadband absorbing structure, a multi-layer structure was proposed by combining resin and square patch periodic structures. The absorbing structure was fabricated by resin curing process and screen printing process. The computational and experimental results showed that the reflectivity could be lower than -10dB at5.4–18GHz with a total thickness of 5.7mm. This effective enhancement on EM wave absorption performance was believed to be a consequence of resonance effect and destructive interference induced by lossy periodic structures.
